Also Barca qualifies for UCL in the 2024/2025 season, something UTD can't say, getting only a EL

That's as clean a connection as you can hope to get on a volley, and I personally prefer that kind of goal to most 30-yard rockets or solo runs. Besides, have you ever scored a really good volley? Few better feelings in football than striking a volley cleanly with your laces and seeing it fly in.

Hace unos días escuchaba decir a Xavi Hernández que el 2-4 del partido de la ida en el estadi olímpic fue un resultado injusto y que el Barça merecía mucho más. Hoy el Girona le ha demostrado otra vez, al "charlatán busca excusas" quien es el justo vencedor y gracias a Ter Stegen porque podrían haber sido muchos más goles. Lo mejor que le puede passar al Barça es que venga un jeque y le pague una fortuna a Xavi para que vaya a entrenar a un equipo y pueda ganar la superliga del desierto. El Barça se cree que todos los cracks que ha tenido como jugadores, también lo serán como entrenador y eso sólo lo consiguieron con Johan Cruyff, Pep Guardiola y Luís Enrique. Porque ellos tenían carácter de liderazgo y sabian como llevar un vestuario. Pero Xavi siempre se está quejando con excusas de mal pagador y pobre de ideas, con su hermano enchufado de segundo y con menos ideas que él. No reconoce el fracaso, si dice querer tanto al club de su corazón, que lo demuestre, debería tragarse el orgullo y marcharse por la puerta de atrás y dejar que venga algún entrenador con mejores ideas. Kubala y Di Stefano también fueron cracks y fracasaron como entrenadores, esto no va de la mano. Hay que felicitar al Real Madrid por ser campeones de liga y al Girona por su gran temporada y no pasa nada por reconocer que otros equipos te superan, para ganar antes se debe saber perder con dignidad dándolo todo, y esto no lo han hecho esta temporada los jugadores del Barça

Holy banana, that volley goal by Portu for 4 - 2 is simply fantastic. A famous Van Basten goal from Euros 1988 comes to mind, though the assist then was from further away, but the Dutch legend was closer to the goal. Doing it against Barcelona in La Liga fighting for a top position is still quite an occasion.

No they didn't finish, but it will be hard for Barcelona because they have tougher opponents to deal with than Girona.
